collage, drawings on paper or Claybord Tm black

If you are interested in collage, these are a new series I began in 2016 using found vintage paper, found vintage engravings, various found objects, paint, glue, and polymer  gel.

I have just added a new collage " THE  BLUEBIRD"  a colorful, lively collage with an original woodcut of a charming bird in flight, surrounded by  vintage engravings, pen & ink drawings and other found materials.

Drawings  incised on claybord TM black, drawings in pencil,  drawings in colored pencil, and collage with drawings incorporated in the design!

OR start one with an affordable unique, original work of art  that will enhance the rooms in your home - even your kitchen or bath!  Original art is exciting to own or give to someone you care for!

Drawings, Watercolors , & Collage

Works using Paper

These are Drawings & watercolors of garden studies, figure studies and Intricate black & white images on   ClaybordTm  Black, a rigid board coated with white clay, then coated with black ink, which is then drawn into with various tools, many of which are artist designed. The Collages are created with found materials, many using vintage engravings and other vintage materials that tell the unusual stories that inhabit Wood's mind.

Wood's work may be found in private  & Corporate collections across the United States and Europe. We meet with collectors to assist them to choose Wood's work - 27 pieces in one California collection - 21 in a North Carolina collection, several in N.Y.C. and Brooklyn, many in other states.  Many of these are the unique works on vintage papers by the artist.

Studio opens April 28th for the season!

Begin or add to an existing collection by choosing pieces of work from Wood's portfolios.  Just before the summer season, buy yourself or someone you love the gift  of art.

Take a look,  one of the pieces may be perfect for you.

Where does Wood get her ideas? How long did it take to complete a work? Why does it cost what it does?

These are questions answered in one way...Wood  is an accomplished artist of more than 50 years standing. She has developed  a way of thinking and working that is unique and loves to use this to create her unique works of Art for you to enjoy.
